I used to use a scroll saw to cut mine. It works ok, is fast, can easily accomodate a guide for straight cuts. Then finish off with a belt sander or a router for a rounded edge.

I bought one of tho ...

The "jam" nut they're referring to is the second nut on the shaft. The prop always needs at least one. If you are pitching from neutral through -2, use the jam nut. I use it anyway - better ...

I have two new 6 gal fiberglass tanks for a M3 that I did not use. One is warped, and I worked on making it fit. In the end, I splurged on the plastic tanks. They were never installed in the plane.

Depending on where you live, you can dilute your coolant to about 75/25. Ethylene Glycol is an insulator, not a conductor. It is a double edge sword, however. The lower ratio will boil sooner, but it ...

Hey Lowell,
When I mounted my Geo to the M2, I went and bought a laser level from Home

Basically, I mounted the engine with 2 degrees ...

The C-172 POH for the older planes has this limitation for 40 degrees only. There is no such limitation for the newer 172 models limited to 30 degree flaps.

The AN series aluminum reducers would work better than brass, I'd think.
Taps are tapered, so you could size the threads smaller than normal, and get
a good "bite", such that the adhesive ...

The idea of using the threaded reducer is a very good one. One could epoxy
that in place so it's would stay permanently. The only small issue I could
see is that the port will not be at th ...

There's no need to thread anything into the fiberglass. Drill holes at the
very top and bottom, and epoxy in short aluminum tubes to which you will
attach the clear tubing. Threads suck in t ...
