Took a day and a half to do both wings.
I would suggest not using the flat cord. |

Couple of thoughts.
I did not use gloves. Clean up is easy with alcohol.
Use flox or micro balloons as a media to thicken to help with drooping.

original is a pin with a safety clip.

I do not see reference anywhere to a gasket for sealing the exhaust pipe to the head.
Have I just missed it or is there just no gasket?

If you pull the reduction drive off, you can see quite a bit through the
vent. The hole is about 1/2" dia. Mine was 8 years old and still in the box.
