I was more concerned about attaching it with rivets. I doubt if I can
insulate around them. I thought about using nylon machine screws but I
would have to put in a bunch of anchor nuts.

Like you, I started with 6 degrees on my CH701. I found that 10 degrees worked better. I still had to tweak the angle a bit after the part came out of the form block.
