I used Loctite 243 on my four bolts. When the engine came out 700 hours/20 years later, one of the four bolt holes had to be helicoiled for reuse!

The backup circuit is the fuel sight-gauge vent (if you have one fitted). Which comes with a warning system (i.e. fuel gauge contents will read zero if the tank vent blocks up!).

Yes. Plastic mesh-type inline fuel filter (not paper-type filter). This also helps to break air-locked spurts of fuel rising up the vent line during the later stages of fuelling.
