I was told by a Hartzell rep. that they would rather we not add any grease at all rather than add more than the instructions say. You might want to check with them.

On the RV-14, Van's now uses a 3M double sided tape rather than Proseal and the RV-14 wing is just an RV-10 wing shortened basically.

I do not remember that being a requirement or even being discussed. I think we have Hooker harnesses in ours, but I don't know if they are TSO'd.

The only thing about flying with the door open is loss of cooling. My original opened twice in flight and it just sat there with no movement. I landed right away. The alum. cover I made now stays put.

I ended up spending a lot of time bending a (I think it was.090") thick piece of alum. the shape of the cowl and now have a great oil door. I had to stiffen it also.
