Hi Michael,
the air pressure numbers look a bit low at below 20 bar, maybe from a Yak 18 two seat. We did fill up a 18 T two years ago, but just cared for stand height, no worry about numbers. You f ...

Hi Michael,
there are two places for pressurizing the lg struts: You checked the bottom filling valve but that is just for extra hard landings when a second piston gets active, which is sitting in th ...

The only centering device I see is on the front strut. But this is only effective at full extension when landing. So when you see a sideways tendency this will have other causes - like a brake draggi ...

As glycerine and alcohol can get washed off by water condensation in air I did not see any benefit of using that combo. My approach was clear chain lube , the sticky kind with solvent. Add a decent cu ...

After each periodic pressure tests I spray a lot of motorbike clear chain grease into air tanks and let dry for a few days before refitting in the aircraft. Never had corrosion in between tests. Shoul ...

Did you check the primer jet for a reasonable spray forming, a poor running down of fuel from there is not great for starting ?
As to no suction on carb, my guess the blower drive may be defectiv ...

No matter, how much you mess around with all sorts of torque settings, your real root of the mess is the paper gasket. I bet, nobody with a M 14 has had any troubles there, no gasket , just an o-ring ...

We still keep this fiberglass seal, no better idea so far. But when you have to take off the exhaust you need a fresh length of fiber of course because a well used seal ages and disintegrates when und ...

That is a typical defect after all these years. The fuel obviously dilutes any additive in the plastic floats so they shrink and no longer float. I copied a few sets in stainless but am not very keen ...
