If you use a small amount of red/orange high temp RTV
on both sides of the gasket it won't leak the excess oil.
With the exhaust off, rub the engine side across sand paper
on a flat surface to see ... |

Have you tried to switch the leads on the back of the gauge
to see if the low reading goes to the other on needle? |

This should be a vent between the outer ceramic seal and
the enter seal. If it is leaking from there then the ceramic
outer seal is leaking.

I took the left front mount to a welding shop
and had the upper hole welded up and drilled
a new offset hole. All is good |

I have a Kit fox Mod 1 and wish it had two holes to choose from.
I think it depends on where your weight and balance came in.
If it is forward, like mine, I would chose the lower one for more

I didn't mean to imply you were giving bad advice, just that
leaving off the safety cables is bad advice.
To leave them off it to subject the machine to more damage
than with them.

Thats bad advice
The cables are to keep the prop and "WING" from hitting
the ground. Even with broken bungees and bent gear
you can still fly home on the safety cable.
