Thanks for sharing the video. Looks like good old New Mexico to me as well. Looks like a great place to fly. What do you think your takeoff distance was?

How can one tell what type of coating was used? Does it look different in some way? The reason being, if you buy a plane from someone who is not the original builder they may not know.

I have heard that whatever trailer you use beds to have some kind of springs or shocks. If not, the Kolb gets all the impact from the road when traveling. Is this true or is it being overly cautious?

Thanks for the link. I bet most Kolbs are Experimental Amateur Built and only the original builder can do the annual. It would be nice if the FAA would issue repairman certs to pilots other than the o ...

I saw a Kolb Mark 3 advertised as E-LSA. I was under the impression that all Kolb were experimental amateur built. Maybe there are some Kolbs that were considered fat ultralights and transitioned to ...

You got a great deal on that plane. Not sure of the history of who built it. Are you thinking of registering it as experimental exhibition? There's a DAR in Clovis that can help and he said he would ...

There's a crashed Mark 3 on barnstormer's. The pictures are interesting and it looks like the cage protected the pilot pretty well.

I had radiator louvers/shutters on my 582 PPC. They worked pretty good. On my second 582 I just used black duct tape to block half the radiator during the winter. I honestly think the duct tape is mo ...
