As I recall, the Kitfox Light Squared model (or whatever they called that tri gear M4) used the flaperons as spoilers. I believe the info to set it up is either in that version of the build manual, o ...

After flying a multitude of Kitfoxes and Avids for over 25 years, and doing just about anything you can imagine with one, I agree that this situation was likely caused by a tail stall and not the flap ...

Michel,

One last thought; Would you consider doing a 28'8" wing like the Speedser has for comparisons against the 26 and 32 ft wings? I thought that might help us "balance" the dat ...

Thanks so much for doing this test on your X-plane software. The results were pretty much what I had expected based on what I had read, with the exception of the flimsy handling characteri ...

Hey Gang,

I'm sorry for causing such a stir over my idea of clipping the wings on my Kitfox. Causing arguments between my Kitfox pals was the last thing I intended. I was just looking for some go ...

Michel,

I know nothing about X-plane, but what we are trying to find out here is how a Kitfox IV will perform if the standard Ribblet 32 ft wing is cut down to a 26 ft span. Flaperons will also be ...

C'mon gang, let's keep this thread civil and productive. And let's face it, until one of us actually tries a 26 ft wing mod, none of us really knows what the results will be.

I don't want to c ...

I'm not following what you mean. What I meant about the flaperon change was that in order to have a 26 foot wingspan Kitfox I will need to cut off a whole bay's worth of flaperon so it matches ...
