I agree with your observations on weight and balance. If you can get the center of gravity right below the center of lift you won't need any trim tabs. I also like to calculate it with an empty ta ...

30 mm means it's made in Austria and imported. That is 1 1/8 in American. A standard 1" heater hose will be snug.

I have thought about the CoG problem. It is a range that the plane will operate throughout. But when the plane is in the air, the center of lift of a wing is 25%. I think that is the point that the pl ...

Yes, the opposite of lift is gravity but if you want to fly slow you increase the angle of attack. It will make you fly slower up to around 16 degrees.

Instead of adding weight for CoG we would calculate where the battery should be to be in the middle of CoG. It is usually easy to move the battery and doesn't add any weight. It also helped the tr ...

Drooping the ailerons will increase angle of attack which increases lift.

When you lower the ailerons, you are lowering the rear of the chord for that wing section and the increased angle of attack produces more lift. It is the same on the ailerons and the flaps. The flaps ...

I found another solution to the aileron trim tab. This guy has his trim tabs move opposite direction of his trim tabs. See attachment:

Do a weight and balance for your plane to see the maximum weight for your particular plane. The builder is considered the manufacturer so every plane is somewhat different. If you move weight around t ...

I'm not trying to offend anyone by giving my opinion. Dropping the ailerons together will work as trim. Here is another way that will work, your choice. See print attachments.

The induce drag would be an order of magnitude greater with ailerons changing pitch trim than at the tail. So why would you fly in cruse with your ailerons drooped?
