Actually, thats about 300 lbs extra each side... I'd re-weigh your airplane.

Check both tire pressure and strut pressure. If either are at max,
reduce a little.

each of these engines starts just a little differently... it really is
an art more than science...

Most effort but most success starting sequence is:

MAGS OFF!!!!

Throttle open about 1/2 in ...

So this is my opinion and worth every penny you paid for it...

I didn't see much of an issue with the flap down stall, then again I
think the CJ talks well to the pilot in all areas of the envelo ...

Having 1600 hours in the CJ and Yak 52 and about half that with original
wires/plugs vs. Dennis' wires/plugs (on 2 different engines) I can tell
you Dennis' wire conversion is FAR SUPERIOR to stoc ...

What I've found is that each airplane is different because of carb and other settings.  What works for you on a normal first start of the day should work here with 1-2 more shots of prime. ...
