Considering the number of times an engine is removed, I don't think a connector for the mags is worth it.

+1 for the Steinair fittings. I particularly like the banjo fittings. Lets you get a real close fit and being able to rotate the fitting is added bonus. |

Mine was. Then again, there was a specific connector for the primary and standby alternator field wire.
225 hours, no problems. |

How often do you switch? Perhaps a simple
drop-cord off each motor with a twist-lock
plug could be used to mate the in-service
motor with its power source.

I would have to agree. I've had the antenna for a GTN625 installed in a fiberglass airplane with no groundplane for 5 years and never had a problem with reception. |

You want to start on the mag with the impulse coupling. On most engines, that would be the left mag. But you should check to make sure. |
