there is a reason why sump bottles are located near compressor heads. by moving it away you turn the air line into a sump.

this AGI-1 thing is not an average gyro. it was built for MiG-15 , that's why it is called "Avia Horizon for Fighter". but obviously like everything else has its age and design limits |

something in that box went TU. could be electrolytic "vertical" sensor, correction mechanism switch or driving motor - to name a few.

actually, breather tube connects channels between shaft seal rings with atmosphere to let the blower breath a little bit of fresh air instead of sucking oil out of the sum through that seal
