I do have the AP74. It is great. Install is pretty easy and you get audio outputs for altitude alerts/AP disconnected etc. You can use the knob for entering various values.

Check you EGT span. I had to modify my induction with a cheap rubber hose instead of SCAT tube, since I was running rought at WOT over 8000ft:

Aft of the left seat, riveted to the floor is far enough away from the flap motor not to be affected. This leaves room for the AP servos in the centre and the behind the right seat. |

Give the Flight recorder at http://iflyez.com/EFISRecorder.shtml a try. It will record EIS, EMS,EFIS and GPS data that you can then look at in excel.
