Ok things are even more complicated as I just noticed that the plane power regulator has internal over voltage protection and so the over voltage protection on the a/c must now be bypassed.

I solved this by installing a spring in the stack... so that the spring
keeps the washer tight against the sensor body, and makes up for
differences in pipe thread make-up.

I can't see how a stiffer spring for the flow divider would help when
you WANT the engine to run... that should help prevent the engine from
