During Phase I, my KF4-1200 with short wings and the 912UL at idle would
make about 1.5 miles per 1000 feet altitude loss.

That's about 8:1 ...
At what speed?

As subject line says. Looking for the typical glide ratio for a Kitfox-IV
Speedster in tail dragger configuration. Same for the regular long-wing
