I would seal off the large holes on the inside of the cooling ducts. These appear to be about 1-1.5 inches.

If you have tighten all of the adjusters to 24 ft/lb then you should replace all of the adjustment studs and nuts to avoid in flight failure. IMHO

I posted the proper tool numbers for both Snap On and Proto a couple of days ago. As you found out the crows foot is NOT the right tool.

The torque adaptor is Proto J 5114 or if you want to pay more Snap On FRDH 141 that is used to torque the cylinder base nut. |

It is a simple job but it does require a special wrench to torq up the cylinder which you can buy from Proto for 5 or so bucks. Talk to Pete first, sounds like it may be warranty work. |

It is an easy job to pull the head but check the rocker arm first, that will tell you if it is the valve set as Peter and I suspect. |

You are right Lynn it should have been 2900 RPM. The Q-2 is slippery but not that slippery. |
