If you have tighten all of the adjusters to 24 ft/lb then you should replace all of the adjustment studs and nuts to avoid in flight failure. IMHO

Jeff,

When you need the cabin heat, the oil will not be hot enough to do you any good with the OC on line. I cut off the air to my oil cooler in the winter. Stick with the standard heat muff on t ...

Jeff,

Step back, take a deep breath and look on the bright side of the 601 saga. There seem to be some weakness in the design that will be resolved in short order and you are alive and able to con ...

The torque adaptor is Proto J 5114 or if you want to pay more Snap On FRDH 141 that is used to torque the cylinder base nut.

Michael,

It is a simple job but it does require a special wrench to torq up the cylinder which you can buy from Proto for 5 or so bucks. Talk to Pete first, sounds like it may be warranty work.

It is an easy job to pull the head but check the rocker arm first, that will tell you if it is the valve set as Peter and I suspect.

Take a look at the things Pete has posted on the Jabiru USA site. I think that AeroShell 15-50 is a big help if you still have 50 wt oil in it. I had to jump mine yesterday morning when i ...

Ivan,

500-5 and 5.00-5 should be the same tire. The 500 or 5.00 is 5 inches thru the widest part of the sidewall, where the sidewall bulges. You will hear the tire refered to as a five hundred by ...
