Sure it's off topic, but it's a GOOD off topic. Very interesting concept but
probably doomed for all of the reasons lighter-than-air forever remains a
kind of footnote in aviation.

I don't think it's a viable way to power an airship. Just one of those
things like screws being better in water than paddles.
But (I always seem to have a "but")
I think it could go a long way to turning the airships during landing,
especially in a bit of wind. Any one on the group have any experience with
airships??
