Just for the record, "don't archive".....Doesn't work....
neither does DNA or any other way you can think of....
the only way it works is
Do not archive
DO NOT ARCHIVE
Do Not Archive
all those , would work...
Gotta Fly...

I was in my twin engine Lazair (Rotax 185's) on final about 50' when one of the CDI units dismounted and the right engine flamed out.
I shut down the left engine since it was causing an annoying yaw and glided it in.
It actually glided father engine off than when Idling.
Also when the right engine quit due to the CDI module comming loose I hit the ignition ground kill switch and got electrocuted....since it was a metal switch and somehome I completed the circuit with my hand on the switch.
Considering the distraction of being zapped I was glad that I was able to concentrate on the task at hand and land the plane nicely.
My hand was numb for an hour after though....but I remounted the CDI's much more securely to avoid a repeat performance.

Actually Ray, several of us have flown our Kolbs as unplanned gliders...
If you look back in the archives, there's detailed information...

I was thinking about this thread and those that did not survive their engine failure incidents.
I guess they will not be providing any feedback.

Ray:
Sun and Fun 1984, there was a gentleman with a 4 engine Lazair with
floats flying in and out of the float plane ditch in the UL area. He
was bare footed, had his britches legs rolled up to his knees. He
take off, make a very abreviated traffic pattern and plop back down in
the ditch. Was a sight to see. The 4 engines sounded great!
That was my first year at Lakeland. I already had my plans and
instruction book for my Ultrastar kit. I was drooling over the
several Ultrastars that were there, three or four. One of those was
red and white sun burst with glass floats. It was a beautiful little
airplane, but it did not fly. Dennis Souder was flying the factory
Ultrastar, which out performed everything at the show. I hung on the
fence when Dennis was flying, and followed him and the Ultrastar
around like a puppy when he had it on the ground. When I got back
home to Alabama my part of my kit had arrived and was sitting on the
floor of the country store, engine and a box of parts. Three months
later I was flying my Ultrastar.
