Hi guys...turns out I'll be able to attend, 18th thru the 

weekend...looking forward to meeting all Europaphiles present and kick 

some Europa tires. I'll be checking in at the Europa booth.  Are there 

any Europa events scheduled?...bull sessions?...dinners?

 What seems to work well is to meet at the Europa booth at 11:00 for lunch.  Lynne and I will be there Thursday (19) and Friday (20) and will probably do so.

Mary and I will be there Monday afternoon, though we'll be driving, as a 

last minute problem with Baby Blue will prevent us flying.  I look

This is sort of a last minute thing but I will be making the trip to Sun N Fun this week and hope to meet a few Eurpaphiles too. I plan to be there on Thursday to Saturday so I definitely try to be at the Europa booth around 11:00h on a couple of those days.



Since this is my first post, I guess it’s about time I introduced myself. My name is Roger Lowe and I hail from Guelph, Ontario Canada and I’ve been dreaming about building an Europa for a few years now and I my dream started to “become a reality” last July when I was able to purchase the partially completed kit (some of the tail feathers done) from the late Dennis Shupe’s estate in Edmonton. Some of you might remember it as it appeared for sale on eBay although I didn’t purchase it on eBay,  Presently the kit is in storage as I have spend the last few months converting my garage and getting ready for the first lay up. 



I must admit that I’ve been lucking in the background reading all your posts for the past couple of years and I am amazed at the knowledge and experience this list has and it definitely eased my decision the purchase the Europa. The kit is a monowheel and the jury is still out on whether to convert it to a trigear or not. 



I do have a question though. Will Europa 04 be giving any demo flights at Sun & Fun or know of anybody that willing to take me up in one? I have not had the pleasure to actually feel the sweetness of the air under the wings of the Europa that so many of you rave about. You can only watch the DVD so many times and wish…..



Anyways, hope to see a few of you at Sun N Fun.

You should have posted last week. 

I flew down to Brantford on Saturday in my tri-gear, accompanied by Chris Staines in his mono. 

Ferg Kyle from Burlington and Jan Volcic from K-W met us there, both are building monos. 

 

Chris and I are based in London, CYXU, we can arrange to meet up with you sometime.

It looks like I missed a golden opportunity to meet some of the local Europa folks and see a couple of airplanes. I hope that I there will be some more opportunities for get togethers in the near future as the weather gets better and the days get longer and maybe hit you guys up for a ride.

I'll try my best to be there to meet you, Lynne and everybody else on Thursday or Friday. I'm looking forward to gathering information on whether to build the mono, conventional (Thanks to Mike Duane) or the trigear. I hope that I haven't stirred up a hornets nest on the subject again!
