I heard rumors of an integrated autopilot from dynon a while back. Any news from them at Sun & Fun? Their new firmware has quite a few enhancements. Check out their webpage for more information. The expansion module finally gets them a knob to adjust settings. I would like to hear any feedback from those of you who have talked with them at the show.

I talked to Dynon. Their interface looks nice (update coming in about a month). They talked “off the record” a little about the A/P. They are working on it and it will have a lot of functionality eventually, but there is nothing to report yet. Their new control panel looks nice and also adds voice alerts instead of the dreaded beep, which is a great feature. I didn’t ask if they are hoping to get that into their EFIS/EMS eventually, but I am assuming that it would require more than just software upgrades to do so, so probably not.
