I did nothing, I guess it has more to do with the camcorder's image stabilizer function.

Video was taken in El Paso, TX and at this airport ultralights and gliders use a north side traffic pattern. GA use a south side traffic pattern.

Just wondered....I've got the image stabilizer on two different cameras.
One digital one Hi-8
Never could get the shaking out when I connected either one of them to
the airframe, or even the wing unless I practically turned the engine off.
My head acts as a perfect shock absorber, but it would be nice to
not have to wear the camera. I like the idea of having it look over your shoulder
and being able to click it on and off when something interesting happens.

Nice Job.

Years ago, shot video all fall from my Hummer, used a camera carrier that suspended the camera from bungee cords. Made a cradle that attached to the camera using the 1/4" mount in the base, curved around above the camera. Attached to the airframe was a pivoting bracket that pointed forward (default) but could be turned from side to side, And since the camera was hanging from bungees off that bracket (about 2" between camera bracket and support bracket) you could depress or elevate the camera as well. No vibration, worked great. It sat out in the free air about 8" to the left of the cockpit where I could aim it with my left hand, or turn it loose and it just pointed straight ahead.
These were the early days of VCR's, "portable" meant using a huge RCA VCR hanging from the main tube in it's own harness to keep it from being vibrated to death by the mighty Rotax 277, powered it off the 12V system in the aircraft, with a huge coax connector to the big, old fashioned VCR camera which was as big as my arm. Heavy too, that's probably why it didn't vibrate, too much mass. Color was crummy, but had a lot of fun, dubbed the whole thing to music.

Thinking about doing it again this fall with the MKIII, could make a bracket that uses the 3/16" bolt hole in the fuselage side by my left elbow, and clamp a top mount to the cage right by the top seat belt mount. Use the half doors and be all set. My old Sony Handycam only weighs a tenth of what that original mess weighed, will probably have to ballast it to keep the vibration out.

I did that too, Big camera, bungee cords, springy steel plate
rivet mounted on the side of my 1983 CGS Hawk. BTW that was
the top of the line 1983 utralight, ailerons, flaps, etc.
Heck ....back then a double surface wing was a big thing.
But still, the vibrations made the video unwatchable for most
anybody but me. The new stabilizer chips take out the big jerky moves,
but don't seem to do much for the little engine vibrations. I have remotes
to turn my cameras on an off, so I don't need to have them wasting memory
or film even when they are out on the wings or on the tail.
If anybody could really solve the vibration problem, we all could do
amazing videos ...I mean the 5 minutes you get in the average 3 hour flight.

Here is what my old HI-8 set up off looks like, the new digital is much smaller
and much cleaner. I got a little box to convert the VHS/Hi-8 stuff to digital
so I can load it on Goggle. I ought to send "Larry out west"?" my old system
and let him shoot some stuff to entertain us. I'll ever convert it
and load it on
Goggle for him.

I have used this software to remove the shake from videos. You need to get the videos to your pc first. Then run in through VirtualDub with the Deshaker plug in. It is a little tricky but it can save videos that are just too shaky to watch. I almost deleted 2 videos I had made of my kids first wakeboarding attemps because they are so bad. But after deshaking them they were good enough to keep, pretty good actually.

Here is the plug-in;

So do you need my address???? I would even settle for information on your
