Has anyone run into this problem? When installing the flap hinge bracket to the W-1010 Inboard Wing Rib, the assembly is positioned where the W-1029B Flap Hinge Rib is now getting interference from the raised "flange" of the forward (large) lightening hole. It won't allow the bracket assembly lie flush to the W-1010 web for proper assembly.

The strange thing is I get this on the left and right sides. Did I just make a mistake somewhere, or have others encountered this too?

Thanks,

Sean Blair

This has been tossed around a fair bit in the past. Some people recommended flattening out the raised portion, others recommended removing material from the bracket so as not to interfere with the raised portion of the rib. I don’t remember the details or how much had to be removed, but I think that is the route that we took, removing some material from the angle/bracket. It has been a while, but that is what comes to mind.
