For what it's worth several of us 801 builders used to meet every Saturday morning using Yahoo messenger. It was usually between me, Jim Frisby, Haiko Eishler, Gary Liming and a few others. I was a great way to network between us and  as luck would have it we were all at about the same stage of construction too.  We brainstormed, cussed the manual, conceived some wonderful ideas. In fact the Frisby no slot flaperons were brought to life that way, I researched the Yamaha steering rod boots while we were discussing a way to seal up that opening.  Yahoo messenger is free and if you have a mic and speakers on your puter it made the event even more delightful, as I HATE typing. <G>   YMMV

Sorry, didn't mean to leave out the 801 builders.   I like the information I find on this board just fine (that's why I come), but it's not the same kind of forum as a chat room, where folks can gather and converse "real time" with each other.  Chat rooms tend to be less formal, and have more the give and take of real conversations.   I think it's a better way to get to know people.   It's just a different kind of forum to having a bulletin board.

If it's OK with you I'd like to try using your chat?  I've registered, and plan to be there Monday night (June 11)  around 8:00 EST as a test.  Anyone interested?  What time would be convenient?

 I have a "built by factory" stabilator and  vertical fin complete I'll through in if you buy the rest of the kit from  me. Right wing 85%, fuse and all the rest for a great deal. $15000.00 with long  range tanks and many extras and tools. You will save 10,000.00 bucks . My wife  says it's gotta go or me go..

I'm sure there are some tricks to pounding rivets, but I never figured them out.   Seriously, there are so few solid rivets on the 640 that I never got very good. I just practiced on some scrap until I could pound them straight with a decent shop head without destroying the parts I was trying to rivet. I'm sure there are others here that have built other airplanes and could give you some helpful tips on pounding rivets.

I met Mr. Steve  Adams  a year or two  ago when he flew his 640 up to 22 W near where I  live. He would be a wealth of info for you if he were willing to help you. I  plan to keep on flying my C 172 and give up building the 640 if I can sell it  (drastically discounted) to someone. I bought the entire kit from Zenair  LTD.
