I spoke with my agent briefly today. As far as AIG is concerned, the Rocket is a hybrid RV with alot of HP insured for the value stated. Having dealt with AUA for 15 years and had friends with claims, falsification is not an issue. It has everything to do with what is on the data plate. If your FAA registry says RV4, that is how it insured.If it says HR2 then you go with it. Every experimental is a "one of a kind" in the FAA eyes and insurance companies. RV's have "safety in numbers" but are still considered "homebuilts". If it happens to have a 540 in it and costs 85K+, then so be it. Since the Rocket is 80% RV4 parts, you have a case to call it an RV4...It's worth investigating.
