What would you have as a minimum in a tool kit you could carry in the airplane.......

Hello,
-A spark plug tool (in case of hydro lock)
-A small air bottle. A medical oxygen bottle (with air inside, no oxygen of course!) is enough and can be fitted easily in the cockpit.
-A multitool in my pocket.
That's what I use during ferry flights in Eastern Europe.

I carry:
Spark Plug tool
2 spare plugs
Brass piece with new rubber top that goes inside of pressure relief
valve
One long piece of wire with alligator clips at each end.
2 spare light bulbs of both types (indicator light and fuel lamps)
Infrared Temp Gun to determine which cylinder is missing, exhaust leaks,
etc. This thing is worth it's weight in gold
A selection of metric wrenches
LED Flashlight
Adapter for air fill to AN fitting
Adapter for #5 Russian to #4 AN fitting

A Yak you say? Hmmm, maybe a book of matches might do it :>) OTOH, never leave home without your credit card, and cell phone with your favorite parts supplier on speed dial.

I'm good to go with that!
However, in a YAK-50?
Please explain how you plan on going about THAT miracle?

Yeah, and for the ultimate price too!
$1200 buys me a round trip ticket for the best mechanic I can find to
just come to "The Deserted Island" and fix it for me!
My Lord Dennis!
Pretty neat tool though!

I posted it because I always carry a regular Swiss Army Knife. I laughed
like heck when I saw that one though. -)

Me too - for many years.
A long time ago repaired a bust alternator in the middle of nowhere using
swiss army knife, girlfriends hairclip and wire I borrowed from a speaker.
Now I keep a leatherman in my car and a swiss army tool on my bike - even
less space than Yak. Been invaluable a number of times, never for the bike
though!
