All -
I have a query that isn't Zenith (or even airplane) related that I think you might be able to help out with.
I have a Miata that is kitted out as a track-day/race school car and I recently replaced the stock radiator with a big 2 1/4 " aluminum race radiator that has an oil cooler built in to it (see this link if curious). The oil lines that Flyin Miata sell don't work out in my particular car because of some other modifications (like a oil filter relocation kit) that are lurking under the hood.
So my question to you good folks is this: Where can I get braided stainless oil lines (AN8 fittings, 1/2" interior diameter hose, 90 degree fittings on one end) made to order to length? And what is the best way to measure for the appropriate length? I obviously don't have a straight shot from end point to end point to get an easy measure with a tape.
Thanks
Dave

Dave. Try Summitracing.com. Choose "departments" & "plumbing." - Jay in Dallas

Dave,
You could buy a length of clear tubing (3/8") at your local hardware store and use it to figure out your hose routing. Trim to length or mark it off and measure the length of the good hose you need.

I love this list.
I got several great suggestions on how to measure and a pointer to the parts. All in less than five hours.
Thanks so much for the super quick replies.
(Jay - I have spent more money at Summit Racing than I think I ever want to add up and I never wandered in to the "Plumbing" department. Now I know.)
