HI Guys,
Started with 11 Factory Overhauled Zero Time M701-500 engines and have 2
left to sell.
Come with Original Log Books and a tail pipe.
One of the Texas guys was flying his L-29 recently and his compressor got
hit with some type of unknown FOD
He sent me pictures and the compressor wheel was shredded which makes the
engine basically worthless as a powerplant in the aircraft.
He is coming to Reno to buy a replacement engine TODAY, February 15th.
These planes are basically big static display paper weights without a good
engine. Hell, it won't even "squeal like a pig" and make noise without an
engine.
One day your engine is great, the next day you get a small piece of FOD and
the engine is garbage. I have a spare for my plane.
If anyone is interested I have 2 engines left to sell. I will either put
them on Ebay or sell them to a guy who uses them for non L-29 purposes. Years of
manufacture range from in the 1970's to the newest in 1983 and were
overhauled in 1990-1992. They are in the fiberglass storage pods sealed up in
plastic with desiccant moisture absorbing bags.
Selling them for $3,500 less than the same engines available in the
"northern Mid West".
Last chance!

Hi Gary,
Yep, thanks for your help.. Your new factory overhauled zero time M701
engine with logs and tail pipe is on the way!
Should be a fun time in Kingman.
Talk to you later,
Scott

Hi John and Noel,
I would guess shipping would be approx. $500 from Reno to Texas.
I have 2 zero time overhauled engines with log book remaining out of 11.
None were any better than the others. They each have the tail pipe.
When you open the fiberglass storage pods they are wrapped in paper and
sealed in plastic with desiccant moisture absorbing bags stuffed in them and they
look brand spanking new.
As Pete Taylor in Red Bluff, CA put it: "They look like a brand new Rolex
Watch!"
1 went to Marvin Mixon who just came to Reno yesterday and bought one for
his FOD damaged engine in Houston.
1 shipped to Southern California for a guy that is putting a L-29 together
that was imported with a bad engine.
2 have been delivered to northern California
1 shipped to central California
1 shipped to Illinois
1 shipped to Las Vegas
I'm putting a new one in my L-29 and keeping one as a spare (2 engines in
Reno)
Only two remaining and all of the 11 engines.
1973
1982
The years of manufacture of the engines were:
1961 SOLD
1970 SOLD
1971 SOLD
1972 SOLD
1972 SOLD
1972 SOLD
1973
1975 SOLD
1977 SOLD
1982
1983 SOLD
