Hi All,

 

 Have any of you installed a step(s) in your fuselage to facilitate climbing up on the wing of your Lightning?  I would like to do this but, have no info if such a thing exists for our aircraft.

 

 Kit to arrive sometime in September and build to start in October.......waiting and dreaming.

Hi Bill, Yes steps are available from Arion. We  have ordered them for a customer, as yet they have not arrived.

Bill,

   If memory serves, Earl and his record setting Lightning has a step on the 

passengers side as well.  So yes, steps are available and on at least a 

couple flying Lightnings already.  Brian W.

   Bill,

       Yes, we put steps on both sides of our plane; they are available from 

Arion and easy to install.   Before installing the steps, I had to stand on 

a milk crate to enter the cockpit each time being only 5' 4" tall.  

Definitely worth the money!

I believe the first set from the welder are at SYI for inspection as soon as they are oked wee will finish the rest and deliver them
