Is anyone using a 72" in-flight adjustable Ivo prop on a Speedster with 912UL ?
How is the performance?
Eric

You need a 68 inch prop for the 912UL. Clint

You can buy the 72" patriot. But, cut it down to, well mine is at 69" at the moment. I bought it at 70" and cut it down a little more, but didn't notice any difference so I kept it at 69". I like the number 69... oh stop it steve.
Anyway, back to the subject at hand, great prop, wouldn't fly without it, you'll love it.

Eric,
We are an IVO dealer and can help.. You’ll love the prop but the 72” on the UL is a little much. There are also 2 different style of blades and that will effect the length as well.

Here is my write up with my new Ivo last year...
http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?t=17756
My initial numbers are about 200'/min high on the rate of climb and about 5mph too fast but there was a good performance gain over the GSC. I have the 70" 3-blade ultralight IvoProp and would not cut it down...I love the static thrust and am not worried about a few more mph.

I run the IVO Medium with my 912S. Very happy with it so far. May be a bit too much for a 912 80HP though. Seems fine on floats too...three years and I have not had to replace the ss tape yet.

talking of ss tape, that stuff is junk. I use to have a powerfin on mine, so I went over to the powerfin folks and got their tape. I've got over 150hrs now on the tape and it is great.
