This past weekend I was leading our Red Stars Team at the Pease AFB show.  The tower was coordinating each act’s clearance into the airspace (a screwed up way to run a show, BTW).  

   

In the middle of our performance the tower asked me how much longer before we’re done.  After I gave him the time we needed to finish, he then told the inbound B-2 bomber that he’d have to hold and wait for the Red Stars to finish.  

   

I think we’re no longer the redheaded step-child when they put a B-2 in a holding pattern until we finish!!  

   

Interesting side note: that one B-2 was doing a fly-by at FIVE airshows that day!  Hope it’s got a good port-a-potty.

Woohoo!  That is a great story!
