I was skimming through the latest Rotax 914 Line and Heavy manuals and
noticed that they state to not transport fuel in translucent fuel
containers.

Curious, especial since Europa has translucent fuel tank.

This is apparently to keep one or more of the constituents from being
degraded from exposure to sunlight. It is not to say that there is
something wrong with fuel being in contact with the translucent container.
Once installed, the Europa tank should be well protected from sunlight by
the cockpit module and fuselage. Ergo, moot point.

Many ultralight and ELSA have had translucent fuel tanks for up to 20 years. I agree with Rob, I think it was meant as not to let your fuel set in the sun. Other than that I have never heard of anyone having an issue. They still sell a lot of these style fuel tanks.
Kolb aircraft has used them for years.
