All,

         I spoke briefly with Kay today. She's at home now under the 

care of her daughter-in-law. She fractured a neck vertebrae and her 

right thumb and had surgery for a puncture wound to her leg. The good 

news is she's getting by with a neck brace and is otherwise fully functional.

         I won't get into the gory details, (I'll leave that for 

Lowell,) but he had a bad week last week as his digestive system shut 

down. Apparently they changed his oil, bled the system, propped him a 

bunch of times and got him re-started on Friday. He's apparently 

getting much better and will be returning home tomorrow. He's in a 

body brace because of a split disk in his lower spine so he won't be 

very active for a while. (Not to mention the damage to his foot/ankle.)

         Kay thanks you all for your concerns and kind wishes. (She's 

been looking at the list traffic.) She said she and Lowell are 

receiving excellent care and are in need of nothing but time to mend.
