OK, gang I've obviously been checking the weather for this Saturday's i39
Kickoff Flyin Richmond, Madison Kentucky. I'll not go into the vast details
of the scheduled forums, vendor sales, high dollar colas.............oh,
sorry we don't have any of that:-) Pushed 100 RV's the past two years. We
are only good at ramp lies so crank em up, practice those lies and kick off
the season. I feel the need, the need for speed!!
Now remember, we have been wet here lately so the grass on each side of the
taxiway has some soft spots. Off blacktop parking is all on your own, shut
em off and push em back, best I can do. If you get in early enough to park
on the ramp, be sure and watch carefully. Park your ride as close as you
can to the airplane beside you, again be very careful we all want to
continue our no incident record. Remember, you are in command but don't
dilly dally around, get them off the runway as we will continuously hear,
"flight of five inbound for the initial", "flight of two behind the flight
of five", "single behind the two with the five and two in sight". You get
the drift, be courteous, be direct, be safe, we are all out here to have fun
but it is serious with this many high performance airplanes in uncontrolled
airspace. The weather is looking better today for Saturday that yesterday,
temps in the mid 50's with winds out of th WSW at 12. Madison has 18/36.
Can you tell, Elaine and I are getting pumped!!
