Oh, I didn't need proof. I figured you had the formula somewhere.
Most geek guys do.
I do know I never had the balls to try making it myself. I figured I
didn't need to blow them off to prove I had them in the first place. 
Now guncotton (nitrocellulose) is another story.

In truth, I only tried it once, since hey... I have TWO balls, I figured I'd risk blowing one of them off? Also dry ice works better than a salt/water ice mixture. Yes, I made guncotton as well. My poor old grandmother never knew where all her film negatives went to. However, for just plain old fun I've found the best combination to be 70% Potasium Perchlorate, 15% 600 flake Magnesium powder and 15% 600 flake Aluminum powder (by weight). If you can't get the "Magalum", then straight German Blackhead Aluminum powder is fine. For those that are interested, this is simply "Flash Powder", like they used to use to take pictures with. It is also what was actually inside of those old M-80's we used to blow up mailboxes with as kids.
At least some of us.
