Hi guys,
I was looking at a Kitfox model IV kit on Barnstomers.com that is ready to cover. It is setup as a tail tragger, but for personal preference and insurance reasons, I would like to convert it to tricycle gear. Will the Super Sport nose gear from Kitfox Aircraft work on a model IV? If not, what are my options? I appreciate your thoughts and expertise.
Thanks,
Jason Cole

I noticed that the old sportplane llc web site was updated with a nose gear conversion for a model 4:

It's not listed on the new kitfoxaircraft.com web site so maybe they dropped it but it's worth a try.

Jason,
John McBean at Kitfox Aviation has the info you need. I suggest calling
him and talking. I don't believe the SuperSport nosegear will work on the
IV, however, they will have what you need for the IV.

Jason,
I believe the later 4's had the plates necessary to convert. We are doing a
model 1 now and it is extensive work.
John at the factory has everything you need to do the job, he has been a
great help for us.
