Hello All,



As many of you know engine prices from our Jabiru competitors have just had

a substantial increase.  This is due mainly to the weakening of the US

dollar against other world currencies.  At Jabiru USA we are facing the same

problem.  The Aussie dollar is now at about $ .93 US.  Back in 2001 when we

started importing engines the Aussie dollar was  $ .46 US.  As you can see

with a little math, our costs have increased 100% since then.



We are able to sell Jabiru engines at our current price because I was able

to lock in some AU$ at a favorable rate.   That's the only reason we have

not increased prices already.  I will run out of those locked in AU$ before

the end of the year and at that time will have to increase prices.  How much

will the increase be?  If I have to pay the current rate of exchange my

costs will go up about $2,000.00 on a Jabiru 3300.  There is no more margin

to squeeze to hold down part of the increase. 



The bottom line is that we have about 35 engines left at the current price.

These engines will be produced in Australia in November and December and

arrive in the USA in January & February.  Once these 35 are sold a new price

will take effect.

Hi USA !

Unfortunately welcome to the real world...It would be probably a fair turnabout if stuff in the USA wound up costing the same as everywhere else !

Everything we build costs twice as much, and all we can do is drool over USA catalogs and prices !

Be better if everything went down EVERYwhere !, but unlikely...so get used to your hobby costing about 50% of your income..sorta lets you know if you REALLY want to do it!

Dont be to sad at the price increase as now with the rise of the Aussie dollar$ we can now afford to buy the Jab USA FWF package  for my XL and get it shipped back Down Under to Australia. Swings and roundabouts..

fighting them for over 40 years,America IS my real world. Wouldn't it be 

better if the world raised it's standard of liveing for it's people ,Instead 

of saying how good we have it over here? we Do have it good over here, NO, 

We have it GREAT . What we don't have is 35 hr. work weeks,and gov. run 

company's... So, raise the prices $1000.00- $5ooo.00 I don't care !! because 

I live in AMERICA,and if I want it ,I can work a little longer and a little 

harder and GET IT ! That's what makes AMERICA  great not to mention a small 

thing called FREEDOM, FREEDOM,FREEDOM,  If you don't belive me , look at all 

the Illgeal's flowing over our borders like rat's , YA" think they may want

In case you're not joking: you really should get out more.

More than 40 Million Americans can't afford healthcare.

There is no social security, unemployment and retirement benefits worth mentioning. The educational system scores extremely low compared to the rest of the world. And to top it off, the infrastructure deteriorates every year while an illegitimate federal government keeps pumping money into a lost war in Iraq, to the further enrichment of their wealthy buddies.



Maybe you remember a different USA, but that was probably from before the corporations took over and raped the country. Those illegals that you loathe are allowed because they raise the profit margin of many companies.



But uou're entitled to enjoy your 'freedom' and sleep on.
