I'm getting ready to be another zenith homebuilder and wanted to have
Zenith grind out a couple of air riveter nosepieces for me but since
I have a habit of losing things I thought I would have two of each
nosepieces made. PROBLEM- I can't find extra nosepieces anywhere. I
plan to buy the Harbor Freight central Pneumatic air riveter ( NOW on
sale for $27.83 where I live). They don't carry extra nosepieces here.
Anyone know where I can find them? By the way do all nosepieces fit
other riveters? Hand and air? Thanks for any help.

Not a Problem. The nose pieces that come with the cheap hand puller will also fit the pneumatic one. Harbor Freight has the hand puller sets for just a few dollars. That is the same puller I have been using with no complaints for more than 5000 rivets.

Darrell

I have a Central Pneumatic riveter and a couple of HF hand riveters. The riveter heads for any one of these will not fit any of the others. I haven't tried to get back-up heads, but that seems like a good idea.

I have found that the pneumatic riveter is too large diameter to set some rivets, so I used a hand riveter for those. I suggest that you buy the pneumatic and hand riveters at the start and send the heads for both in one shipment to ZAC to save postage. You only need to send the heads for the 1/8" and 5/32" rivets.

I just painted all my A5 riveter heads red. Don't ask why I decided this was a good idea.

I ordered some extra nose pieces via the Harbor Freight customer service. I don't remember exactly but I think I paid in the order of $10 for the set plus $7 shipping.

I bought the Harbor Freight riveter and ordered replacement heads for it. It came with a replacement parts list and I used the phone number on the form to order the heads. I paid about four dollars including shipping.

My solution to not lose the rivet heads was to buy two pueumatic rivet guns .Use an A4 in one gun and A5 in the other gun.

List,

Go to the Harbor freight Tools website: harborfreight.com and look up your air riveter. At the bottom of the add, there is a green link to download the instruction manual. On page 10 and 11 (model 93458) there is a parts breakdown. Get the part number and call the 800 number in the manual. Ask them if you can purchase some spare parts. I did it for an air impact wrench and they sent me a complete rebuild kit for $12.00.

Just my two cents worth,

Dave Thompson
