Hi:
Would like to hear from those with either or these two radios..
Some one responded, on the Micro air, with comments that there was
some problem with ground on the Pilot PTT?, but it was fixed.
The price is better on this, thatn on the Xcom 760...
Thanks for comments and information.
Bert

I Had a micro air when I first started flying my 6 and soon changed it out
for a full size radio.
I found that it was really difficult to change channels in rough air and
hard to see the readout in bright sun. This was back in 2000 so things may
have changed sense then.
Happy Holidays All

My original Microair 760 (puchased in late 2002) had to go back to OZ after initial installation for a correction- about 2-week turnaround TN-Australia-TN and it has worked very well for about 450 hours in my RV-6A with bent whip on belly. Haven't heard of any problems with these radios since the early versions (like mine).

Hi All,
Well I've owned both and I much prefer the Xcom 760. Neither have ever given me any trouble and the Microair is still working fine in my old aircraft.
BTW I believe that the radios are both designed by the same guy but the 760 is a later version at a different company and is a lot easier to use in rough air and also easier to read.
The 760 has a nice feature called the remote head that allows for a second control panel in the back seat which is nice for us tandem guys.
