Sorry, I accidentally sent the previous message before it was competed. I will try again.
Today I stumbled across Valley Engineering who offers a complete firewall forward package for the 701 based on VW. I had not heard of them previously. Bottom line of $11,000 got my attention. Hp claim is 100 hp with included PSRU. Weighs 185 lb. It looks good and I intend to investigate further next week. Looks interesting, but that air filter sticking up from the cowl is really ugly! I didn't see a package for the 601. I wonder if it would be a good fit.

Yep, Valley's whole package is bad ugly, but so are most 701s. It's a good
