Is anyone currently providing similar aux tanks for the YAK 50. If not ,will YOU consider doing so?

Yeah, and probably climb out straight up at Vne! Â But then there's the problem of a cruise burn rate of 35 gph *at altitude* you're gonna need a bunch of fuel. Â

Speaking of fuel... Â We are getting closer to our first set of 30 gallon tanks for the CJ. Â They are one piece metal tanks that DO NOT require taking the wings off the aircraft, removing the butt rib, etc. Â They also maintain the integrity of the original system using the same vent lines, senders, and gauge (recalibrated for the extra capacity). Â No maintenance or life span concerns as with the bladder system. Â Will be priced competitively and a straight forward "do it yourself" installation kit will be made available after we get the first few sets installed.Â

Cheers,

Barry

I thought you were selling your airplane?

TIM, the 50 is a hard airplane to let go of. I am considering selling because I'm not flying it as much as I would like to. If it had longer legs I'd fly more often; this landing every two hours is a deterrent to longer trips, plus, I do have the A-36 but that's boring compared to the 50.
