Well, lo and behold the Yak rudder pedal design is substantially
similar to the CJ rudder pedal design. This means our "Your legs will
thank you" mod is available for Yaks as well. Soooo....we are now
accepting orders for the Yaks. If you are a -50 or -52 driver and want
approx. 4" extra leg room, let me know and I will add you to our
quickly growing list. We will have the prototype machined piece
(original proof of concept pieces were welded) on Friday and should be
able to spit out a production run next week.

Email me off list to place your order.

Thanks!

Barry

Geee wisss Doug. Did you ever notice how all the throttle quadrants on WWII fighters look alike? And the B-17 and B-24 use the same prop and wheels and brakes? They all even carried the same radios. Even the piss tubes were the same. And did you ever notice that Tupelofs used the same gear handle as the Yaks?

There maybe a lot parts that came from the Yaks they had laying around and their productions lines were turning out, but the CJ-6 is a different animal. You need to go back to Belize. I think you're getting grumpy from having to be back in the cold. Your wife was doing fine without you. Wink))

Of course he/they did. Actually, they were already making Yak-18
rudder pedal assemblies and just used them. They did the same with a
lot of accessories too. Seems sensible to me that, if you are already
making that subassembly for something else, you may as well use it
over again.

I used to have a Lotus Europa S2. Everything in that car came from
some other car. One could go down and order a lower outboard u-joint
for a Lotus Europa S2, pay $100, and then wait three weeks for it to
get there. On the other hand, one could order a u-joint for a Volvo
122, pay $12, and have the guy behind the counter just hand it to you
right then.

And, funny thing, in spite of the parts interchangeability, no one
seemed to think that the Lotus Europa was a Volvo 122 or a Triumph
Spitfire (the front axle/brake assembly was from a Spitfire).

Pappy,

He wasn't gettin' any down there and it all backed up into his brain.
It is a common problem. We just need to feel sorry for ol' Doug and
wish him well. Perhaps he will get better.

I realize that it's real hard to see me grinning via email, but trust me I am. Glad to see you still out there and paying attention Jimbo. ;0) It was just to good to pass up.
