Would someone please tell me if any of the airframes were marked with a
serial number, in particular the model IV. Where would it be?

My Series 7 is stamped on the right side upper seat belt tab. Don't know for sure where they stamped the IV but I would assume they did.

I have a model IV kit that I bought from the original purchaser. The invoice was folded and the number was in the fold and the carbon paper was turned blue. It was bought from Skystar in 1996. Supposed to be a model IV Speedster except he wanted the full wing. Can I tell if it is a 1200 gross by the diameter of the struts ? Maybe the length(height) of the tail post would be better.
My wife says one of my toys need to go and I would like to know for sure what I will be advertising.

My 92 speedster is on a tab behind the seat. I believe it is on the center of the first upper cross tube behind the flaperons. GBSO33  G=7th month B=92 S=Speedster This was the transition time to Skystar and they soon changed the format of the serial number.  Ron NB Ore

Dwight, My 1994 Classic 4 is a 1200 Gross airframe. Tail post is 53 and 1/4 inches near as I can measure on the trailer with the wings folded. Wing struts are one inch OD. serial number is on the rear of the triangular plate that the front of the Horizontal stab attaches to.

Mine is on the tab that the inner shoulder harnesses bolt to. It is
triangular in shape. My understanding of the alpha-numeric sequence
is: 1st digit =month; 2nd digit=year, with 1991 being '1', 1992 being
'2', etc.; don't know what the 3rd digit is but mine is a Speedster,
and the designation on mine is "U", followed by 150, which I was led
to believe (by Frank Miller, for whatever that's worth) was the
number of units built that year.

Center shoulder harness tab...look hard, it'll probably be nearly
filled in with powdercoat.
