Hey Pat, I just realized by your address that you're right in the
area that has had over, what, 50" over average snowfall for this
year? Better get that rebuild job done so you can build some skis for
it and enjoy that snow. : )

you have pictures of the door latch system back to me immediately.
I have found the Kitfox "Mother Lode" on this website and sent my
contribution to Matt last week. With the info you "experts" have
that is available to us beginners, I ought to make it a monthly
contribution.

Lynn, Skis will be built this summer for next year. I have pictures of a set from this website. I climbed in the rear seat of a super cub on skis 2 months ago for a ride to Broadhead WI at 50 to 300 feet AGL along the Sugar River. Awesome! Skis are in the plan. What skis do you have?

I built a set after looking at pictures and drawings of other folks'
skis. Michel over in Norway sent pics of his, and John Perry, and
Dave in Canada helped as well. I just borrowed the best of all the
ideas and went with that. I think that the pics John sent me were of
skis built for an Avid. Here's mine:

Above: Here's the skis as built
This is just after adding a brace to the tip. I had an encounter with
a frozen snowbank that dictated adding this brace. The "encounter"
bent the skis up just in front of the original diagonal braces, and
actually made the skis slope up more, and I liked that, so I added
this new brace to insure that the shape didn't change when the next
encounter occurs....and it probably will. : ) Of course I cleaned up
the overspray after the painting was done, and re-riveted the shoe to
the ski.
