Listers,

I am considering building a new 701. I've looked at the Aero-Vee and Great Plains engines. I also want to consider a Continental 0200.

What I want to know is what would one expect to pay for a run-out 0200 and what would it cost to to a SMOH?

Any answers will be appreciated.

Many thanks....

A run out without prop strike should be about 3-4000 but not much more than that. Price 0 time since major overhaul looking about 18.5 k or so. Meaning a rebuild runs about 14k. Thats what I've found so far.

Bob,

I got to keep moving. Don't want any rust accumulating on these old joints.

Also, I've had 3 offers on my 701.

I am negotiating on a 701 project. The owner, God rest his soul, passed away and his sone is selling the project.

So if I get to buy the unfinished project, I will have something to do, and possibly get $5.75 per hour for my labor.....
