I think I want to used hinged ailerons on my XL. I'll be darned if I
can find anything about them in either the plans or assembly guide.
I thought they were a standard option. Can someone point me in the
right direction to this info?

They have their own page in the plans: 6-PH-1 ("Piano Hinged"). This is
shown on the cover page for the plans 6-X-0. The actual page is towards the
back of the plans with the other options and motor mounts.

Hi Ron,
Sorry, hinged ailerons are an option on the XL. The standard way to
mount the ailerons is with skin aluminum. You can order the aileron
option from ZAC.
I personally think the hinge-less ailerons are a better choice than
the hinged ones. They make a perfect seal and work just fine. The
ailerons are a little stiff, but they don't require much movement to
get the roll you need.
