<< I'll bring you a cold beer at Monument Valley. Thanks - Mike Welch
Mike -
Not necessary.
This is why we continue to invite Dave Rains, even though he flies up in
a Cessna and not his Kolb. It's his Cessna's hauling capacity!
Monument Valley is on the Navajo reservation, and there is no beer
available there. Each time he flies there, we are amazed to see him
unload CASES of beverage, upon arriving. And even then we'd run out, so
Dave graciously announces that he must fly to Page, AZ (50 miles) to get
more! What a guy!

Russ Kinne asked: << Dennis - Pls tell us what this alphabet soup

Hi, Russ - All that "alphabet soup" is the header that my Internet
Service Provider automatically attaches to my e-mail address. Because
my Kolb List posts come from my work computer, and because I work in a
Government office, I have no choice; the ISP server adds all that
alphabet stuff as identification to my identity.
I am a civilian contractor (CTR) working in an Air Force program office
(USAF) which is under the Air Force Material Command (AFMC), part of the
Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and working the Airborne Laser (AL)
project.
To me, it's fascinating to be involved on the two opposite extremes of
aviation technology - the Airborne Laser, a highly-modified special-use
747 with all it's high-tech gizmo gagetry on one extreme, and our simple
little Kolbs on the other.
But I assure you, Kolbs are more fun!

p.s. - in reference to Dave Rains' last post: He is correct in saying
that our "Unorganized, Unofficial" Kolb Fly-In at Monument Valley was
indeed originated by him and Will U. Thanks, guys! So besides our
enthusiasm for having Dave attend the event (with his Cessna full of
cases of libation), the local Navajos also look forward to our May
event, as Dave spends most of his flying time there giving rides to the
Indian kids. That's probably the best positive PR we can get - Way to
go agian, Dave!

Dennis,
I'm a little troubled. Now that you've told us all on the Kolb group, what those letters stand for, does that
mean you now have you kill us?
