How did you contact Dan Denney? I have a model II that was supposed to be
upgraded to model III and would like his views on upgrading the gross weight
to 1050 on floats when registration is amended this spring.

Noel

John, Have you tried this starter yet ? looks like it rotates CCW , Rotax requires Clockwise. Good price if it works.

What is wrong with starter ? parts are usually available

I purchased on of these starters to check it out
and Dave is correct, the rotation is opposite.
The bendix is also different.

Hope you can get a refund.

Unless your starter has broken parts it is likely you can repair or take to a local electric shop for a cheap over haul. Brushes and a turning of the armature it not very labour intensive.
