When I purchased my partially complete Series 6/7 I did a Bill of Sale (not on the FAA form) with the seller. He also gave me a Bill of Materials that he got from the original buyer who bought it from Skystar. I believe there was a broker involved between the original buyer and the guy I bought it from. Now that I've learned that I will need everyone else's Bills back to the kit factory to get this registered, I've been hounding the guy I bought it from for more info and paperwork. He's being unresponsive so here I sit with a kit that I'm hesitant to invest more time or bucks in. I'm sure I'm not the only one that's had this dilemma and am hoping to find some solution. Anyone know of a productive route to take from here? No jokes please--this isn't funny.

Scott,
If you are an EAA Member you could try contacting them Maybe even if you are
not), I have found them very helpful and knowledgeable about aircraft
legalities.

I registered mine as built from "miscellaneous parts"....I had the
paper trail all the way from Skystar, through the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
(thanks Jimmie) owners, but because there was death of one owner, and
his widow signed off, and there was a misspelling of one of the
names...corrected by the widow...I felt it might be easier to just
list the whole thing as misc. parts. This flew with the "powers that
be", and everyone lived happily ever after. I got the registration
back inside of 3-4 weeks.

I should add that this "misc. parts" idea was at the suggestion of
someone at EAA, and I phoned OK City to get the ok to do it that way.
