Saw an article in one of the recent Sport Aviation mags that said the Jax no working on airplanes in your garage ordinace had been defeated by local EAA chapter with assistance from National EAA.

Hello Sam, Carter and all.
This is my first post to the group after lurking for a year or so.
This thread woke me up.
The JAX homebuilding issue is dead and gone. EAA and local effort got the silly rule kaboshed.

My son is at JAX in VP-30 (for the time being anyway). Great riveting partner. We were just at SnF last week, enjoying the smell and noise of 100 avgas, oil and kerosene. Now for my introduction:
I am building a 7A "Slow" build. I have 1400 hrs into it and am ready to order the finish kit. I am currently struggling with panel selections and related systems. Seems like I don't want to rivet any panel into the cabin because I am afraid I will be removing them later to put in some wire I have not thought about yet. What a conundrum.
I just got my instrument license a month ago and am itching to use it. I fly a rental Piper Arrow out of 0A7.

A year or so ago there was a flap about homebuilding in Jacksonville - a city ordinance and an EAA legal skirmish. any update?
